A Day for Packing Up and Heading Out

I have just dragged myself out of the warm comfort of my bed and am awaiting room service with a big pot of green tea and some brekky. Roscoe is still snoring away, but he'll wake up once the food arrives. Long, but fun night for both of us. He and his band of non-humans, three dogs (Roscoe,GiGi and Po), two cats (Doofy and Carmen), a Brain Slime (Harold), a free willed Golem (Irma) and an enchanted cockatoo (Alice) had a high old time in the "Steam Versus Dragons" world. It would seem that it is well within the world rules to create a giant steam powered mecha robot that can fire bullets made of crystallized AllMother Dragon venom. Of course, it did take them almost 9 hours to finish the quest (and then over an hour of partying). I don't know how long he then dallied with the fair GiGi, but when I woke up to use the john at 5:00 AM this morning, he still was not back here. I suspect old Romeo will snooze on the train going home:)

My night of questing began at 6:00 pm with the Speed Challenge in "Rock & Roll Death" world. We did not quite beat the New Zealanders time of 6 hours, 22 minutes, 18 seconds from last year, but we came damned close with 6 hours, 27 minutes, 33 seconds. We were fourth place overall. Team Texas Tornado beat us by a full 2 minutes, 10 seconds and the Kiwis came in second at 6 hours, 18 minutes, 11 seconds, beating their score from last year by a good margin.

The big winners, however were the all female Team Deadly Sweetness from Egypt who cleaned all of our clocks with a crazy fast 5 hours, 58 minutes, 04 seconds! Holy crap, those ladies were cookin'! I've got the recording of their session on my computer and I've watched some of it. They shot through the section with the Biker Beasts in about half the time we did by the simple process of stealthily stealing a couple of the motorcycles, then leading the beasts into a bottleneck for a very effective ambush. Add in a bit of C-4 and a fireball spell and they were on to the next section in record time. Well played, ladies!

Ah, breakfast is here and my old buddy is finally awake. More blogging later.
