A Day for Taking a Walk

I'll be leaving in a few minutes to take a long walk with Roscoe and his friend, Scooter (also a Basset Hound). I'm thinking we'll walk west towards Lake Natomas, then maybe cut over towards downtown Sacramento. If we get tired out, we'll just catch the bus home.

My pal Avis stopped by for an hour this morning. She brought me a couple of pounds of tea from China, where she had been delivering some mail. Her delivery service, Door To Door Deliveries, is doing great, but as you might imagine, going to 15-20 different places around the world every day can be a bit disorienting. Fortunately, she can take a couple of days off every few days to relax at home with her cats, dogs and her hunky Mage, Daniel.

Got word from friends in Ireland that the Little People are being a bit more prankish than usual. Apparently, last night they painted every pub in Dublin pink and in Cork they have set loose hundreds of pigs. Reminds me of the time my friend Peter and I went to Cork for a con and the Little People made the streets all slippery. It took us 20 minutes to do the 3 block walk from our hotel to the con.
